Union Square: Mean Girl Muscles Granny Off Subway Station Bench

NO WAY SHE respects her elders.

A boorish woman wasn’t about to stand and wait for the train at the 14th Street subway station to arrive.

It was around 1:30 p.m. on July 14 when the woman had her sitting tantrum.

Authorities say she made her way over to a bench where a 78-year-old woman was sitting.

The perp then demanded the senior scoot to the side so she could park her keister on the pine.

When the woman didn’t move fast enough — the suspect shoved the woman off the bench, causing her to fall hard to ground and cut up her knees.

And with the bench cleared, the pugilist bailed and fled the station on foot.

Cops caught up to her over a month later and charged her with assault.

New Lots: Smack And Crack Fiend Tosses Rocks In Pedestrian Magic Act

A HOUDINI WANNABE failed to dupe coppers in a crack disappearing act when she was approached.

The 45-year-old was lurking in the rear of P.S. 328 Phyllis Wheatley School midday on Aug. 2.

Officers were eyeing the woman and saw her possessing a baggie of crack.

And yet when they confronted her, they say the woman attempted to toss the rocks a short distance.

They recovered the baggie and then took the woman to the precinct.

Once there they checked her purse and found two sleeves of heroin, and a glass pipe with freshly smoked crack residue in the bowl.

She faces criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and one count of tampering with physical evidence (to conceal or destroy).

AS SURE AS a toddler’s snotty nose will run, the West Indian Day Parade, known as J'Ouvert, is gonna involve some kind of chaos by party crashers.

Cops have attempted to preempt the Labor Day deviance by putting safeguards such as designated entry points to access the route along Eastern Parkway, bag searches to discourage attendees from brandishing their weapons, and flooding the zone with cops.

In fact, this year was the largest deployment of officers.

Notably, this year the parade quit a half hour early at 5:30 p.m. to avoid last year's violence that popped off at end of the parade.

Here is a wrap-up of some of the parade-related violence…

Astoria: Quarreler Ends Debate By Blasting Off Felling Two Rivals

THE LEAD WENT flying after a teenager got tired of trying to argue his points.

The 19-year-old lost his cool after jousting with the group who had been standing outside a building on Steinway Street back at around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 26.

At some point tempers flared surely over something substantial like whether you can survive snacking on a Twinkie two years past its expiration date or if there are a finite or infinite number of isolated universes.

Whatever it was the spat — the teen was especially doleful and pulled out a pistol.

He fired several rounds striking two men — one 19-year-old in the right arm and left leg and a 24-year-old in his right leg.

Each had to be spirited to a local hospital.

Detectives tracked down the shooter that same afternoon.

He faces attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and weapons possession.

⬛ STATEN ISLAND

Fox Hills: Coke Slinger Caught Driving Illegally

HAD SHE TAKEN the bus, it would have been harder to pin her to her nose candy dealing.

The 44-year-old was caught with all kinds of dope like a grownup girl scout vending addictive cookies.

She was first spotted behind the wheel of a 109 gray Jeep  back at around 9 p.m. on Aug. 15.

As she stopped at the intersection of Richmond Road and Vanderbilt Avenue when cops gave her the blue lights.

That led to a stop.

The woman lacked a valid driver’s license.

Hours later after being caged at the precinct, officers discovered her purse held 13 purple sleeves with blow, seven blue sleeves with more coke, along with two cell phones and $886.

The suspect was formally nailed for drug possession with the intent to sell, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a motor vehicle license violation.

▀ Looted Antiquity Returned (New York, NY)

A looted antiquitiy was returned to the Syrian government after being recovered in the Big Apple by the fed’s Art Crime Team.

The smuggled item which dates back to sometime between the second and third century AD, is said to be an ancient Roman sarcophagi or burial box, with detailed inscriptions that was crafted in workshops in Tyre, South Lebanon.

It was recovered by the FBI during an undisclosed investigation.

The precious piece is suspected of being lifted from the country and smuggled overseas following an unauthorized excavation.

However, the precise time it was taken or when it arrived stateside remains unclear, officials said.

Lebanon prohibited excavations and export of antiquities in 1933 but the law hasn't stopped antiquities smuggling, which continues to lead to losses of the county's historic treasures, the FBI said.

The FBI said they had previously coordinated with the Syrian government in 2018, when the FBI returned a ceremonial bronze axe, recovered in Gotham that had been smuggled out of Byblos, Syria.

Since its inception in 2004, the FBI Art Crime Team, made up of specially trained agents in all big cities throughout the country, have located and returned more than 20,000 antiquities and other precious works, totaling nearly $1 billion dollars in value. These items are often smuggled into the country and sometimes circulate in private collections for decades and may change hands many times before they surface and are seized by authorities.

It's the job of the Art Crime Team to identify unauthorized items and stolen works of art and repatriate them back to their country of origin or rightful owner.

Antiquities are just part of the job for the Art Crimes Teams, which includes anything from paintings stolen by the German military in Europe during World War II, to exposing fake Warhol paintings to theft of art and antiquities from museums worldwide that turn up in the United States.

In some cases, the thefts are criminally prosecuted but often the statute of limitation for theft has expired and criminal prosecution is avoided.
