The Blotter.* A roundup of happenings in Gotham’s mean streets (and from time to time the tri-state region). Each item provides a staticky glimpse into the sleepless city’s peripheral misdemeanors, felonies, and misadventures.

⬛ MANHATTAN
▀ Midtown: Headbanging Fugitive Caught Clocking, Choking Elder
A CONVICT WAS back in action.
The 46-year-old with an especially shady past, allegedly walloped a senior just below Times Square back at around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 10.
The suspect first took a crack at an unsuspecting person strolling along 8th Avenue and West 39th Street. He then grabbed the older person’s neck and started to choke them out.
He soon vanished.
Cops tracked down the assailant on Dec. 1 and loaded him up on assault (victim 65 or older) and criminal mischief.
The same suspect had been freed after copping a guilty plea the year before for almost identical charges — criminal obstruction of breathing and assault.
That deal was scuttled, however, when he was a court no-show. A warrant was issued for his arrest at the time that he allegedly jumped the geriatric on the street.

⬛ THE BRONX
▀ Grand Concourse: Captured Scrapper Kicks In Paddywagon Window
HE WENT TO town on a van on his way downtown.
An especially angry soul who had been busted for brawling battered a police transport van.
It was around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 22, when the 37-year-old suspect was lassoed for hellraising.
He was nabbed at the corner of East 162nd Street and Sheridan Avenue for using weapons to menace an innocent.
When he was marched with cuffs behind his back — the perp had more fury fuel in the tank.
So he went berserker mode inside the marked transport van before he was to be whisked to Bronx Central Booking. His alleged tantrum shattered the passenger side window and reconstructed the shape of the door with his sledgehammering sneakers.
Aside from the original felony assault rap, the accused earned a criminal mischief chaser for racking up damages topping $250.

⬛ BROOKLYN
▀ Canarsie: Ruthless Bros Stab 2 Men In Squabble
TWO BROTHERS WERE nabbed in a heated imbroglio where they sent two men away to the hospital.
The victims, 64 and 57, were squaring off outside Glenwood Road and East 87th Street at around 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 21, over some grievance.
They allegedly threw and landed some punches. Their opponents counterpunched.
Their brawl met a sudden finale when one of the brothers pulled a knife and stabbed the elder in the ribs and the younger man in the back.
The men were brought to a local hospital and survived.
One of the brothers, apparently was dressed for Monaco weather despite the brick cold temps. He was wearing a tank top, shorts, and slippers.
They took off in a white van.
One of the brothers slipped away.
But one was caught and the bloodied blade recovered.
He was charged with assault (with a weapon), menacing, weapons possession, and harassment.

⬛ QUEENS
▀ Flushing: ‘We Split The Earnings 3 Ways!’: Busted Burglar Spills Beans
A MEMBER OF an alleged thieving threesome — who cleared a trivial profit after a suburban score — apparently sang a solo tune for cops after he was pinched.
The 25-year-old was wrangled along with his two crime partners, 30 and 22.
Each allegedly ransacked an empty home (the owner was away) on the evening of Dec. 17 for the woman’s valuables.
The three were captured on CCTV scoping out the property on 224th Street off 69th Avenue.
‘I got $400 or $500 from [that day] for looking out for the police.’
They allegedly rolled up in a white Mustang.
Various footage analyzed by investigators has the suspect stepping out of the ride and gabbing on a phone.
“I drive the mustang,” the suspect, who was captured on Dec. 20, allegedly shared to questioning cops. “I got $400 or $500 from [that day] for looking out for the police.”
He explained how his buddies provided him with the target house so he could play not only the getaway driver but also the lookout.
“They gave me a pinpoint location,” he said. “I was on the phone with them while they were inside.”
The homeowner told cops she left the home in tidy order before she left, with certain doors locked, and her necklaces secured.
When she returned home, the place was disheveled, doors unlocked and the jewelry missing, according to the criminal complaint.
Shown the surveillance recording, the suspect allegedly confirmed he was there and up to no good.
“That's me,” he said. “[Co-defendant] and I entered the house,” he said.
He apparently relinquished his lookout duties to his co-conspirator.
And when he and the other thief cleared the home of its treasures — he told cops “we split the earnings three ways.”

⬛ STATEN ISLAND
▀ Fox Hills: Gun Goon Sends Sketchy Selfie To 17 Y.O. Girl, With ‘I Will Kill You!’ Threat
IF HE WANTED to portray himself as a scumbag hitman — he succeeded.
The 19-year-old was brought into custody nearly a week after he allegedly sent a young girl a most disturbing image.
Just after midnight on Jan. 3, the culprit allegedly messaged the girl over Instagram a snap of himself brandishing a pistol with the missive, “I will kill you!”
Cops showed up at the text sender’s Bowen Street home and they saw the young man allegedly toss a gun out the window.
They later recovered the ditched weapon (a semi-automatic Taurus G3) below the building.
Cops determined that the gun that couldn’t become invisible when it was tossed was illegally acquired as the suspect wasn’t permitted to pack heat.
He was formally hit with weapons and aggravated harassment charges.
