Gravesend: Ice Cream Monster Busted For Sugar Rush

A SWEET-TOOTHED ADDICT was busted hoarding several tubs of ice cream.

The 31-year-old suspect entered a Dollar General back on the morning of July 24.

Authorities say he filled up his backpack with 13 ice creams.

He proceeded to exit the discount chain store without tendering the $62.50 he racked up.

The frosty fleecer didn’t get to indulge on the desert.

That’s because cops swooped in to dole out some salty reality.

And he was son heading for Jello commissary after being charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

⬛ QUEENS

Bayside / Flushing: Federal Pretender Shakes Down Marks For Thousands Threatening To Expose Bogus Afghanistan Terrorism Funding And Child Porn Nexus

A CUNNING CON was caught blackmailing multiple men by feigning he was a federal agent and demanded to be paid bundles of cash to prevent his targets’ purported ties to child porn and bankrolling jihadism.

The 61-year-old hustler first put his hooks on a man back on May 4.

It was then that he rang the oblivious victim on the phone and feigned he was a G-Man.

‘We can get you a new social security number and card… if you withdraw $16,000.’

-Suspect pretending to be a G-Man duping man out of cash

He blabbed, “Your social security number is compromised and is currently being used to buy cars and houses in Afghanistan and used to fund terrorism,” the criminal complaint reads.

Thoroughly rattled, the man asked what he could do to fix the situation.

“We can get you a new social security number and card,” the perp told him.

But it was gonna cost.

In fact, he claimed the new social security card could only be procured if “you withdraw $16,000.”

The suspect didn’t take COD, either.

He told the worrywart that he had to put the cash in a plastic bag, tape it up and “someone will pick up the money.”

When the clock turned 3 p.m. the next day, the man did as he was told.

He came with the cash wrapped up and taped in the bag.

He dropped it off in front of a residential building located on 141st Street.

Shortly the dead drop, the 61-year-old grey-haired suspect appeared wearing a tan coat, white shirt and black trousers.

CCTV captured the crook take the dough and take off.

Days later he did it again.

‘Someone will pick up the money.’

-Perp hustler to mark

On May 12, the same money grubber beamed a missive urging the man to call a phone number because his account had been “linked to child pornography”, according to the criminal complaint.

When the man made the call, he spoke to the suspect who allegedly claimed to be from the FTC [Federal Trade Commission] and then explained how the man’s cell phone had been linked to a child pornography sites and that he would have to pay up to “remove the link,” the papers say.

Specifically, the man was told to wire $37,000 to a Well Fargo Bank account under a specific name and then withdraw $41,000 and place it in an “unmarked envelope” so that someone would meet to pick it up.

The next day, the white-haired Asian suspect, arrived at an agreed upon dead drop spot on a residential stretch along 46th Avenue and took hold of the enveloped cash.

On May 14, the same suspect allegedly went for a third round to rook this guy.

Again, he played the FTC suit and explained how if the man was hoping to get his cash back that he would have to withdraw $40,000 and place it in another unmarked envelope for pickup by another bagman.

Like clockwork, the money man appeared. However, it wasn’t the suspect but a Hispanic man who grabbed the cash.

The cops were informed of the money grabs and after poring over surveillance footage from the various cash drops and pickups — they were able to peg the elder suspect with his signature white hair.

He was brought under arrest for the chicanery on Aug. 4 and dinged for grand larceny (more than $50,000) and grand larceny (get property through extortion).
