The Blotter.* A roundup of happenings in Gotham’s mean streets (and from time to time the tri-state region). Each item provides a staticky glimpse into the sleepless city’s peripheral misdemeanors, felonies, and misadventures.

⬛ MANHATTAN
▀ Harlem: Robber Parolee Popped Boosting Beauty Products
A SPRUNG JAILBIRD is one step closer to punching his ticket back to the pokey.
The 56-year-old suspect was netted outside the West 125th Street-based Bath & Body Works on Dec. 18 after allegedly attempting to bolt from the shop after swiping an assortment of five-finger discounted items including body cream, perfume spray, and a candle.
He was quickly detoured from his slumber night with the girls after being riddled with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property raps.
The accused, who stands 5-foot-3 and weighs almost 180 pounds, was already getting in the hands behind the back position back on April 22 where he was picked up for the same charges from an incident in Brooklyn.
He had an active warrant for being a court no-show back in June.
At the Dec. 19 arraignment, the suspect pleaded not guilty. His bail was set at $1.
Then he was remanded at Rikers Island for the parole violation pending a revocation hearing slated for Feb. 4.
The suspect did a two-year stint in prison back in October 2023 for a Manhattan robbery conviction. He was sentenced to five years; but given grace and paroled in November 2024.
His parole remained intact until 2027.
The suspect’s attorney since filed a suit against state corrections arguing that the convict’s detention "is a violation right to due process by failing to provide him with a timely preliminary court hearing thereby causing his unlawful imprisonment."
The suspect, the attorney stressed, had the right to defend himself in an expedited parole revocation hearing to challenge the alleged violation and his detention.

⬛ THE BRONX
▀ Soundview: Bar Blowards Taking Beef ‘Outside’ Gets Extra Bloody

HE BROUGHT A fist to the knife fight.
A 25-year-old beefing streetfighter hedged his bets in a throwdown versus a rival he challenged inside a nightclub.
La Princensa Del Rodeo Club had an off-books bout in the ridiculous hour of 4:30 a.m. when a suspect (doubtless fueled by bottom shelf booze) and another engaged in a war of insults.
They both allegedly agreed to “take it outside.”
Outside the doors of the club on Wheeler Avenue (renamed “Amadou Diallo Place” — after the West African man who was shot 41 times by plainclothes cops in 1999) the two squared off and made good on the fisticuffs.
‘Take it outside!’
And after each landed some fist licks — the suspect decided it was time to one-up his new foe.
He allegedly pulled a knife and jabbed it twice in the opponent’s gut.
Cops swarmed in and took the slugging stabber into custody. EMS rushed the stabbed man to Jacobi Hospital where he survived.

⬛ BROOKLYN
▀ Bensonhurst: Mom Caught Leaving 4 Y.O. Son Home Alone
SHE WON’T WIN mother of the year.
A little boy refused to tag along with his mom on a field trip to Manhattan midday on Dec. 7.
So the mother, 41, in all her wisdom decided to drop off her daughter with an adult and rolling solo to the other borough for the day.
Oh, about her tot son? She allegedly left him to fend for himself at her East 66th Street home.
But the little boy apparently didn’t want to stay home for very long.
Concerned parents saw the little boy eight blocks away — romping around alone at the Lt. Joseph Petrosino Playground at 73rd Street and New Utrecht Avenue.
Cops were summoned and they caught up to the mom with questionable priorities.
Mom returned after more than four hours and discovered her boy was taken to Maimonides Medical Center.
Authorities quickly censured her for endangering the welfare of a child.

⬛ QUEENS
▀ Long Island City: ‘I Will Come Back And Kill You!’: Double-Knife Wielding Beau Cracks Open Galpal’s Head
PRISON IS PLAYSCHOOL for him.
With two knives in his mitts aimed at his lover — a 61-year-old maniac boyfriend threatened to carve her up.
“I will stab you,” he allegedly snapped.
The two became especially cross inside their 12th Street apartment at around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.
‘If you get me locked up — when I get released I will come back and kill you.’
While he didn’t essentially use the weapons — he did allegedly bash her several times with a flurry of punches and knocked her around like a pinball until her head cracked and she starting gushing blood.
He then vowed to take her life.
“If you get me locked up — when I get released I will come back and kill you.”
The pummeled woman allegedly blacked out and could only recall seeing a blood-soaked cloth.
Cops showed up and recovered the knives and quickly pinched the murderous bruiser.
He was brought up on several charges including assault, menacing with a weapon, intimidation (instill fear of injury), and criminal possession of a weapon.
▀ Bodycam: Cops Fell Racoon (Rockaway Beach, NY)

UNIFORMED OFFICERS DID away with an alleged “aggressive” raccoon.
The animal was reported circling on the sand along Beach 121st Street and Ocean Promenade on the morning of Jan. 22.
Cops responded and bodycam shows a detail approaching the animal.
“While attempting to guide the racoon to a safe location, the animal suddenly charges towards a group of people in an aggressive manner,” the NYPD said in an email to The New York Post. “An officer discharged his firearm, striking the animal.”
Three rifle shots in fact were fired by one of the officers, eliminating the Rockaway raccoon.

⬛ STATEN ISLAND
▀ Clifton: Crank And Whole Shhhhh Bang

A TRIO WAS stopped rolling in a fancy car littered with meth and weapons.
One of the suspects, 24, was the alleged gunslinger in a 2019 Alpha Romeo at around 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 28.
At the intersection of Venderbilt and Tompkins Avenues cops flashed their lights and veered the three in the car to pull over.
The license plate in particular was especially concerning given it was allegedly blocked by a plastic covering.
When they were asked to exit, one of them shoved a cop to try and elude capture. That escape bid failed.
All three were searched and the Alpha Romeo (which they didn’t appear to have any paper to prove they were lawful to drive it) was as well.
The officers found an amount of meth, knuckle dusters, and a 9mm with a sound suppressor [silencer].
The heatpacker was nailed for weapons possession, possession of a silencer, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and obscured license plate.
