The Blotter.* A roundup of happenings in Gotham’s mean streets (and from time to time the tri-state region). Each item provides a staticky glimpse into the sleepless city’s peripheral misdemeanors, felonies, and misadventures.

⬛ MANHATTAN
▀ Lower East Side: 3 Toughs Rough Up Man In Home, Ruin Painting, Kick Pooch, Rip Off Gold Chain

A NIGHT FOR one man ended in cruelty to human and animal.
Three goons barged into the Art Dojo, located inside a tenement apartment located on Ludlow near Delancey Streets at around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 16.
Authorities say they triple-teamed the lone resident, 35, before damaging his home.
They first kicked in the locked door then bumrushed the man — punching his face and one kicked his dog.
They then destroyed a painting, DJ equipment, and ripped the man’s gold chain off his neck.
All told the damage estimated to be about $65,000.
One of the three accused, a 34-year-old man, was busted on March 10 for the clobbering and hit with injure/torture of an animal, assault, and criminal mischief (damage property).
His chums remain outstanding.

⬛ THE BRONX
▀ Allerton: BMW Driver Shot Dead Trying To Turbo Away From Carjackers
A BEAMER OWNER was hit by the gunfire of his would-be bandits.
Just before 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 13 the 26-year-old was behind the wheel of the lux ride and idling outside a building on Thwaites Place.
At one point three perps — two men , 18, and a woman 23 — donning all black threads surrounded the car and ordered the driver to get out and that they were gonna take his possessions.
Deciding to take flight, the driver hit the gas and blazed away.
But he didn’t outrun one of the bullets fired by the opportunists.
The man was rushed to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced.
Each was slapped with murder, manslaughter robbery, and criminal possession of a firearm.

⬛ BROOKLYN
▀ DUMBO: Cops Find Pistol In Crack Fiends’ Sofa
TO GET INSIDE the mind of a deviant puffing rocks is to discover wild ways of preventative measures.
Namely stowing arms.
A 63-year-old and his woman were found to be holding crack and a piece.
Authorities entered the man’s Sands Street home on Feb. 15.
They seized a .22 caliber pistol that was hidden behind a couch cushion in the den. There was also a magazine filled with 10 rounds of ammo left on the kitchen table. Apparently they were less concerned about hiding that.
When frisked, the elder was found to have a sack of crack on his person.
Both the man and the woman went down for criminal possession of a loaded firearm, possession of an ammo feed device/ammo and criminal possession of a controlled substance (crack).

⬛ QUEENS
▀ Long Island City: Goon Cold-Clocks Straphanger With Milk Carton

A CERTIFIABLE SAP clobbered a man attempting to catch a train.
At around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 28, the 46-year-old lowlife allegedly targeted a traveler, 27, who was heading to Queens Plaza subway hub.
The innocent was suddenly ambushed from behind by the brute who struck him with a milk carten — causing the younger victim to suffer a severe gash to his eye.
THe assailant, seen clad in a black cap, black jacket, black shirt, black sweats, and brown shoes took off running.
EMS members arrived at the bloody scene and took the patient to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Cops tracked down the pugilist on March 2.
He’s facing assault raps.

⬛ STATEN ISLAND
▀ Arden Heights: Woman Caught Packing Loaded Glock Asks Cops, ‘Am I In Trouble?’
THEY CAME FOR her gat.
Cops appeared at a Dec. 17 evening (likely tipped off by a concerned citizen) to a home on Rye Avenue.
The 42-year-old was clearly on her heels when she spoke with raiding officers.
One of them saw a piece of financial mail on the kitchen counter addressed to the woman, according to the criminal complaint.
They then corralled in a bedroom where they discovered the tucked away arms.
Inside the woman’s bedroom closet was a Glock 27 . 40 caliber pistol plus two magazines filled with eight rounds of ammo each.
Almost rhetorically, the woman confirmed she lived at the home but didn’t lay claim to the lethal force.
“It’s my room,” she allegedly told investigators, before asking, “Am I in trouble?”
The woman was taken away and charged with weapons and ammunition possession.
