⬛ THE BRONX

▀ Parkchester: Gizmo Wholesaler Caught Selling Six-Figure Sums Worth Of Wares On Side

THE INSIDE HUSTLE was a bonanza.

Until the heat caught on.

A 46-year-old perp and her cohorn were daylighting as suits for the IC Wholesale Inc. and then marauding as inside guys and gals — fencing stolen wares.

Their shenanigans believed to have begun on Jan. 2, 2025 was up nearly two years later on the night of July 24.

That’s when the authorities swooped in on the biz where the suspects were working and exposed them for side-hustling the inventory of brand spanking new iPhones, Samsung cell phones, iPads, AirPods, and other goods for personal gain.

They determined the suspects were selling them outside the warehouse grounds and doctoring the company’s inventory logs to mask the grift.

In sum, authorities estimate the suspects lined their pockets to the tune of $166,210.

On Aug. 12, cuffs and charges were formalized for grand larceny 2 (more than $50k), grand larceny 2 (retail goods scheme), criminal possession of stolen property (more than $50k), and falsifying business records.

⬛ BROOKLYN

▀ Sunset Park: Crooked Croupier Caught Running Secret Joker Poker Den

A WHEELER AND DEALER went bust when the cops came to shutter his operation.

The 38-year-old bookie and proprietor of the clandestine casino tucked inside a Brooklyn walkup was walked out in cuffs and his machines seized.

The coppers came knocking at the doorstep of the four-story brick building dotted on 56th Street and 8th Avenue at around 6 p.m. on Sept. 1.

They nabbed the big cheese and collected a pile of betting slips that he had stowed away.

They also confiscated numerous digital joker poker machines that were rigged to take suckers dough, the complaint reads.

The suspect now faces promoting gambling, passion of gambling device (slot machine), and possession of gambling records (bookmaking).

⬛ QUEENS

▀ Maspeth: ‘I Will Kill You!’: Bottle And Vase-Tosser Goes Nuts Twice

THE FAMILY FEUD turned nearly terminal.

A 26-year-old unstable one targeted her cousin and grandfather in two separate attacks.

On the morning of Aug. 9, the woman’s first attack occurred inside her cousin’s home located on 73rd Street off 57th Avenue.

Authorities say the perp showed up and took a glass bottle and was spotted on CCTV “smashing a hole in her apartment door with a glass bottle.”
The maniac also confronted her grandfather who was in the building and growled, “I will kill you!” while whacking his front door with a glass bottle causing a hole, the criminal complaint details.

Overnight on Sept. 3, the suspect returned.

This time she took hold of several items in the home and launched them down a flight of stairs.

The projectiles included a blue vase that she tossed and smashed a window.

The family turned to the law and they took the woman into custody and brought charges of criminal mischief (damage property), endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment raps.

⬛ STATEN ISLAND

▀ Midland Beach: Rager Punched Hole In Sports Store Wall

MAYBE HE SHOULD lay off the roids.

A 32-year-old loon went nut-nut inside a sports store.

It was around dinnertime on June 30 when the suspect was inside JD Sports Store.

Authorities say the perp lost his wits and took a shot — at the wall.

He allegedly decided the place needed a remodel and used his wrecking ball fist.

The strike caused a huge hemorrhage in the wall.

Cops were called and they took the wall basher into custody.

He faces criminal mischief.

▀ Reward Offered In Slain Teenage Girl’s Cold Case (Freeport, Long Island)

A SAVAGE UNSOLVED cold case of a murdered young girl from Queens found mummified on Long Island is getting a renewed effort.

Susan Mann, 15, was last seen alive on May 17, 1980.

She pedaled away from her Hollis, Queens home on a bike.

She was never heard from again.

On Nov. 4, 1982, the body of a teenage girl was discovered in a dumpster behind Cantor Glass Works on North Main Street in Freeport, Long Island some 27 miles from her home.

The body was so decomposed that the case was classified as “Jane Doe”.

Her remains were buried in a potters grave in a Long Island cemetery.

Detectives suspected that her body was exhumed by the killer or killers possibly to avoid its discovery from being buried in a swath of property slated to be developed.

That Mann’s killer then moved her to a dumpster.

The effort to ID Mann stretched as wide as New York City’s Museum of Natural History in hopes forensic experts there might find clues to to help pinpoint her identity given the extreme decomposed state of the body.

It wasn't until 2023, that police secured a court order to exhume Mann’s remains.

By then, advances in DNA technology enabled the FBI Investigative Genealogy Program to match the "Jane Doe" DNA through familiar DNA tests, linking Mann's remains to surviving relatives.

Last year, Nassau County Police publicly made the identification along with a plea for information about her disappearance and subsequent murder.

Police made a renewed effort this month to heat up the investigation, re-issuing a photo of Mann and an image of a unique scripted "K" inside a heart necklace pendant that was found on the body.

Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the the arrest and conviction of whoever brought her untimely demise.
