***PREMIERE OF ‘COURTHOUSE Q&A’***
▀ EXCLUSIVE: ‘I'm Going To Get You!’: Knife-Brandishing Man Caught Menacing Neighbor Claims He Was Defending His Harassed Mom (Harlem, NY)
The suspect tells The Blotter that he was merely trying to get his neighbor to leave his mom alone, stating, ‘I feel like she is accusing my mom of stealing her bracelet or picking it up and that's not true.’

NAME: Jonah
AGE: 28
LOCATION: Harlem, NY
OCCUPATION: "Right now I don't work. I'm on public assistance, I have EBT and a voucher that is paying my rent."
RAPS: Menacing with a weapon, weapons possession with intent to use, and harassment (physical contact)
AFTER 8 HOURS in custody Jonah’s hair wasn’t exactly coiffed to his liking so he asked not to pose for a full-length photo.
The 28-year-old soft-spoken defendant stepped out of Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday clad in an orange prisoner’s gown draped over his beltless shorts (his paperwork stowedin one of the jumbo pockets), a T-shirt, sneakers (sans laces).
He was nabbed on July 28 in Harlem’s 32 Precinct and stands accused of menacing with a weapon, weapons possession with intent to use and harassment, (physical contact).
At arraignment, prosecutors laid out the charges agains Jonah.
They say cops were summoned to the man’s West 144th Street home back at around 5:30 p.m. by a woman neighbor.
‘Come get it. I'm going to get you.’
-Jonah, 28, allegedly shouted at neighbor he later claims was harassing his mother over a missing bracelet.
She claimed while attempting to enter her building that she was headed off by Jonah pacing in the hallway.
He allegedly was gripping a kitchen knife.
And when the neighbor tried to get around him to get into her apartment — Stewart allegedly dared her, “Come get it. I'm going to get you."
The scrambled police unit soon reached building and they cuffed Jonah.
The arraignment judge ordered to set the suspect free without bail, but issued an order of protection prohibiting any contact with the neighbor.
The Blotter: What are you accused of?
Jonah: Technically, I was accused of, well, being violent with a knife in the hallway to my neighbor, which is a lie. I don't think that was true. She (the judge) put a restraining order against me and now I have to stay away from her, no contact."
TB: What was your issue with the neighbor?
J: She kept harassing my mom about a bracelet and I'm trying to figure out why she kept asking my mom where her bracelet is. If you lost your bracelet, that's on you. I feel like she is accusing my mom of stealing her bracelet or picking it up and that's not true. It's not a lie. Now I'm going to avoid this woman of course, I don't want to go back to jail.
‘Technically, I was accused of, well, being violent with a knife in the hallway to my neighbor, which is a lie.’
-Jonah disputing accusations he was taunting his neighbor in the hallway of their building brandishing a kitchen knife.
TB: How long were you in the system for?
J: I was in for like eight hours.
TB: How was it in the holding cell?
‘Now I'm going to avoid this woman of course, I don't want to go back to jail.’
-Jonah vowing to respect a judge’s imposed order of protection to steer clear of his neighbor
J: In the holding cell, It was a drag. I'm not going to lie. The time it took, it was like a four hour wait. It was a drag. But I'm out and now, yeah.
TB: Any contact with the criminal justice system in the past? Yes I have. No prison time but like, hoping the train, (fare evasion in transit) what else did I get arrested for before? Stealing from Walgreens and H&M clothing store, I went stealing back in my day.

▀ Lower East Side: ‘You Are Stupid And You’re A Gay Fuck!’: Bigoted Ghoul Inflicts Brutal Belting Of Autistic Boy At Park

A YOUNGSTER WHO is on the spectrum was targeted by a dastardly act committed by a raggedy cad.
The hate speak was allegedly hurled at the boy inside Baruch Playground back on the night of April 29.
A 37-year-old man aimed a verbal dress-down against the boy, 12, in a spat — specifically tinged with anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments.
“Move [your] backpack so it doesn’t get stolen,” the suspect warned.
Because the child, whose mother later informed police is autistic, failed to respond.
In fact, according to the criminal complaint, the boy started humming and singing to himself.
Being ignored and left to listen to the tunes of the unresponsive boy — only vexed the goon.
He chastised, “You are stupid and you’re a gay fuck!”
The brute left for a beat.
Only to return with a belt in hand and struck the boy with it on his chest.
‘You are stupid and you’re a gay fuck!’
And as he struck the child, the suspect allegedly shouted, “Gay!” multiple times, the papers say.
He stole away before officers arrived on scene.
The boy suffered minor injuries.
Months past.
But on July 5, investigators confirmed the collar of the suspect.
He faces assault (as a hate crime), assault, acting in a manner injurious to a child, and menacing (as a hate crime).

▀ Belmont: No Standing Idler Busted With Forged Registration, Loaded Piece
ALMOST EVERYTHING about this guy was dodgy.
The 35-year-old cloak and dagger driver of a 2020 Dodge Durango (with obscured plates) was parked in a “No Standing” zone on the corner of East 182nd Avenue and Third Avenue back on the night of July 22.
The nose-thumbing at the street restrictions raised the antennae of coppers and they quickly did a closer looksee.
A run on the ride through the city’s computer system proved it was a forgery.
When they requested the driver supply a legit license — the suspect supplied a bogus license.
He was taken into custody. A search of the Durango exposed a loaded Ruger LCP .380 semi-auto pistol.
He was quickly brought up on forgery and weapons possession.

A MIDDLE-AGED WOMAN is facing the consequences of inebriating a rival with pills and then going to work on her.
The 48-year-old woman was inside an apartment on 15th Street and 4th Avenue back on the early morning of May 11.
The woman was cross with someone and allegedly drugged her target with sleeping pills before unloading a salvo.
The perp allegedly punched the person and then took some whacks (apparently poor ones because she failed to connect) with a broom.
The swing-and-misses didn’t matter.
Her hurt infliction already did damage to the victim.
And she was swiftly pinched and brought up on weapons possession drugs/sleeping pills) assault (causing physical injury), menacing, and harassment.

⬛ QUEENS
▀ Flushing: Ex-Hubby Caught Getting Grabby, Snatching Cell Phone
A VENGEFUL DIVORCEE was caught up in a brouhaha with his former bride.
The 61-year-old was allegedly hellbent on getting back at his ex when he confronted her on the corner of Main Street and 41st Avenue early evening on July 12, the criminal complaint states.
At one point the perpy lesser half grabbed hold of the woman’s cell phone and then yanked her shirt collar and when she tried to dash across the street — the maniac gave chase.
When he reached her, again he pulled on her shirt.
her ex-husband, approached her,
Grabbed her cell phone from her hand, and grabbed the collar of her
Shirt.
Deponent is further informed by the complainant that she ran across
The street and the defendant chased after her and again grabbed her by
the shirt.
With the woman in his clutches, the suspect then allegedly bearhugged the woman violently and “applying pressure.”
The attack was soon impeded when cops arrived and took the wife wrestling cell phone jacker into custody.
He was slammed with robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.

⬛ STATEN ISLAND
▀ Port Richmond: Para-Transit Van Driver After Hit-And-Run Claims, ‘I Was Driving, But I Didn’t Hit Her’
A WAYWARD ACCESS-A-RIDE driver denied clipping a woman and then vrooming away afterward.
At 12:30 p.m. on July 6, a 22-year-old was driving the van, tasked with giving lifts to thousands of handicap and senior New Yorkers, and found himself in a quagmire.
He was driving the blue and white van and as he crossed through the intersection of
Port Richmond and Castleton Avenues — he allegedly failed to see a woman pacing across the crosswalk.
After impact, the woman crumbled to the asphalt and suffered a slew of wounds including cuts, bruises, and bleeding.
And rather than stop and call for help, authorities say the driver instead callously kept wheeling away.
Officers caught up to the absconder and quizzed him about fleeing after the collision with the pedestrian.
‘Why are you arresting me? Four cars turned in front of me!’
He acted oblivious.
“Yes, I was driving,” he said, the complaint states. “But I didn’t hit her.”
So intent on his innocence in the matter, the suspect apparently tried to pawn off the cruel act on other drivers.
“Why are you arresting me,” he wondered, adding, “Four cars turned in front of me.”
So it must have been one of the other drivers — and not him. That was the crux of his argument.
He repeated again for good measure: “I didn’t hit her.”
That same day, the suspect was charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting personal injury.
