The Blotter.* A roundup of happenings in Gotham’s mean streets (and from time to time the tri-state region). Each item provides a staticky glimpse into the sleepless city’s peripheral misdemeanors, felonies, and misadventures.

⬛ MANHATTAN

Washington Heights: Armed Goons Stickup Cell Phone Shop, Raid Thousands Worth Of Gizmo Merch

TWO HEAVIES TARGETED a Metro PCS store, liquidating its stock and register cash.

Just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 27, the perps , ages 36 and 28, allegedly entered the mobile phone biz located on Broadway and West 164th Street.

The crooks allegedly feigned customers to the 23-year-old clerk.

But she realized in a flash when they drew their pistols and announced they were robbing the joing.

One of the suspects rounded the counter and zip-tied the woman’s hand behind her back and dumped her in the water closet.

His crime partner took a C-note from the register and stacked secen iPhones (worth around $4,000).

They then zipped away.

The clerk wiggled free to call the cops to report the shakedown.

A detail tracked the phones to Snipes sneaker store in the Bronx.

They were able to review surveillance footage from the store to confirm the suspects’ identities.

Cops wrangled the pair and recovered the phones, the cash and a pistol.

They were charged with robbery, weapons, and unlawful imprisonment.

⬛ THE BRONX

Eastchester: Gal’s Ex Nabbed Trying And Failing To Steal Stove And Igniting Deadly Inferno

AN EX-LOVER IS facing a homicide rap for clumsily failing to fleece his former fling’s stove.

At around midnight on Jan. 28, the 55-year-old derelict had allegedly breached his ex-girlfriend’s home on Bivona Street located inside the Boston Secor Houses.

The suspect came for the woman’s stove in hopes of fencing it somewhere.

Only when he disassembled the cooking unit — he snapped the pipe, creating a gas leak.

The man panicked and stole away without what the stove that he had come for in the beginning.

AS for the mess he left behind? The gas pumping from the ruptured pipe set off an explosion that ripped through the building.

The four-alarm blaze slain one resident, injured 15 people, and squandered 100 residents from their homes.

The incidental firestarter, who had a history of drug use was formally charged with murder, burglary, manslaughter, and petit larceny.

The ex-girlfriend was forced to relocate to a domestic violence shelter.

⬛ BROOKLYN

East Flatbush: Imposter Livery Cabbie Caught Soliciting Passengers

IT DIDN’T HELP that his license plates were Pennsylvanian.

The 43-year-old suspect was allegedly scoping for a side hustle while tooling around in a 2008 tan Ford.

Authorities say the accused pulled up to a bus stop on Utica and Church Avenues at around 7 p.m. on Dec. 21.

The motorist with the out-of-state plates allegedly propositioned a person but the effort backfired.

Cops caught wind of the bogus hack and he’s now up against the charge of attempt to overcharge and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

⬛ QUEENS

Floral Park: Onerous Uber Fare Snatches 911-Dialing Driver’s Cell Phone

HE DEFINITELY DIDN’T receive five stars.

A 28-year-old wiseass was unwilling to abort the ride after being told to get out.

The driver and passenger hit an impasse some time around 5:30 p.m. They were in a car on the corner of 242nd Street and 82nd Avenue — and going nowhere.

When the Uber driver demanded the rider exit, he “refused to do so,” the criminal complaint states.

When the driver ran out of patience and courtesies, he turned to the law.

He rang 911 for help. But as he was in the process of providing the when and where — the suspect allegedly took hold of the phone.

Cops ran on the call anyway and made quick work of the situation where getting out of the car was no longer being asked of him. It was an order.

Authorities brought grand larceny, and criminal mischief (prevent an emergency call).

⬛ STATEN ISLAND

Great Kills: Barred Man Returned To Tell Woman ‘This Is All Your Fault!’

WHATEVER THE JUDGE had ordered for him to keep away from a woman clearly didn’t register for one sad sap.

The 43-year-old was formally forbidden from having any contact with a woman. The judge put the protection decree into existence the day after Christmas. And the order was supposed to be intact until Christmas of 2027.

Only the suspect apparently couldn’t help himself.

He allegedly creeped up to the woman’s Elverton Avenue home at the witching hour of midnight back on Jan. 14, according to the criminal complaint.

When he came face to face with her — he allegedly growled, “This is all your fault.”

The victim rang authorities and the unwanted visitor was back in cuffs and formally slammed with criminal contempt.
