The Blotter.* A roundup of happenings in Gotham’s mean streets (and from time to time the tri-state region). Each item provides a staticky glimpse into the sleepless city’s peripheral misdemeanors, felonies, and misadventures.

⬛ MANHATTAN
▀ Harlem: Punk Slugged Man Snapping Pics In Subway Station, Then Hurled Hate Speak
A STRAPHANGER WAS clobbered by a bigoted brute.
Three years ago on Dec. 23, authorities say a 25-year-old was underground at the subway station at West 125th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue when he was approached and then challenged by a maniac.
It was around 6:30 p.m. and the pugilist punched the victim taking photos several times in the face. The man then groused some demeaning statements about the victim’s race before scurrying off.
Three years passed and on Feb. 1, the suspect was charged with assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment (based on race/religion).

⬛ THE BRONX
▀ East Tremont: Fare Beating Lowlife Caught Taking Wiz On Subway Mezzanine
A FILTHY SUBWAY fare fleecer was nabbed for relieving himself in the open and then fibbing about his identity.
The 25-year-old, who was already struggling with recent legal problems, was spotted entering the subway station on the night of Jan. 13.
Authorities say he skipped the turnstiles and walked through the exit emergency gated door “without paying the required fare”, according to the criminal complaint.
Cops confronted the fare beater as he was peeing on the mezzanine area.
After pulling up his trousers, the suspect was asked to produce identification.
“I do not have ID,” he allegedly answered.
Then he proceeded to obfuscate by offering a fake name and birthdate.
When the cops ran it down and determined it was bogus — they went back to him for his real information.
And he gave it.
The perp then urinated on the mezzanine area
Pressed to produce ID and the man replied, "I do not have ID."
He first claimed to be "Jacob Woods" and offered a birthday of March 7, 2005.
Cops checked that out and couldn't find a hit.
Then he offered his real name and birthdate.
They then realized the suspect was wanted for a Sept. 29 hit for lewdness and exposure of a person.
It appears he was already up against it for a Dec. 26 bust for false personation, lewdness, and exposure of a person.
In the foul train mess that he allegedly made — he was brought up on exposure of a person, disorderly conduct, trespass, criminal impersonation, and fare evasion.

⬛ BROOKLYN
▀ Crown Heights: Grandpa Creep Busted Using Walker To Burst Into Woman’s House To Cop Feel
A DIRTY OLD man was inching along a sidewalk with his crotchety walker when he saw an opportunity.
The perv allegedly thought it he was entitled to barge into a woman’s home and molest her.
The brazen 75-year-old perv jumped on top of her at around 2 p.m. on Dec. 27.
Authorities say the man first used his walker to pry open the woman’s front door.
He then grabbed hold of the helpless woman’s arm and yanked her over to the bedroom where he tossed her on it and then got on top.
The woman attempted to fight back but the goon restrained her hands.
He then rummaged under her jacket and over her shirt. That’s when he fondled the woman’s breasts.
The fogey then left the home.
It would take a few weeks, but the sicko was finally cuffed on Jan. 14 and nailed for sexually motivated burglary, sex abuse, forcible touching, and criminal trespass.

⬛ QUEENS
▀ Far Rockaway: Granny Takes Neighbor’s Kitchen Knife And Blurts, ‘I Am Going To Stab You!’
SHE WAS DONE talking.
A 65-year-old woman blew a gasket and was ready to go homicidal.
The woman and the neighbor, a man, were feuding outside their homes on Fernside Place back on the afternoon of Jan. 11.
Fed up, the woman marched into the neighbor’s home and returned with one of his kitchen knives.
“I am going to stab you,” she allegedly growled.
The man was evidently shaken enough to take her at her screaming word and dialed for help.
Officers took the mad woman away and she was formally charged with menacing (with a weapon) and harassment.

⬛ STATEN ISLAND
▀ Sunnyside: Deviant Caught On Camera Keying Woman’s SUV
THE ORDER OF protection might as well have been printed on Bazooka Gum wrappers.
A 43-year-old shirked a judge’s ban on him from having any contact with a woman.
The suspect was captured on CCTV creeping around her home on Clove Road off Schoharie Street on the late afternoon of Sept. 8.
He allegedly “run an object” to gash the entire side of the 2021 Honda CRV, according to the criminal complaint.
Then he bolted.
But the suspect shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
That’s because he was forbidden from being even within a football field length of the woman he was appearing to mete out vengeance. That order was put in place on April 24 of last year and viable until April 22 of this year.
Time elapsed, but authorities finally tasked him with criminal contempt and criminal mischief charges.
