▀ Roosevelt Island: ‘I Work For The MTA’: Faux Train ‘Cleaner’ Caught Snooping Around Subway Substation

HIS STORY DERAILED.
An underground crawler was busted trying to feign he was a city subway employee.
The 42-year-old man was found lurking around a subway system substation on Main Street on Randalls Island at around 1 p.m. on Aug. 31, according to the criminal complaint.
MTA police officers quizzed him about who he was and what he was up to loitering ignoring restricted areas with signage that reads “MTA Property: No Trespassing” and “For Authorized Personnel Use Only” — the suspect, clad in a baseball cap with “MTA” emblazoned on it allegedly wove quite the yarn.
“I’m a cleaner for the MTA,” he boasted. “I work for the MTA.”
The officers ran his name after he was unable to show them an employee ID or even an ID number to prove he was telling the truth.
Turns out the man’s name never showed up in the MTA database.
The suspect was taken down for criminal impersonation, Criminal trespass, and plain old trespass.
▀ East Harlem: Fabulist Spits On Cop After Getting Face-Egged For Reporting Bogus Gun Threat Against Her Son
A FRANTIC WOMAN begged cops to rush to her home fearing her son was going to be shot by a random assailant.
The 46-year-old had been inside her home on Madison Avenue at around 11 p.m. on Aug. 27, according to the criminal complaint.
When the fuzz reached the apartment — they discovered the mother, her
son and daughter, 15 and 12, as well as her niece, 15, and nephew, 8, – all apparently safe and sound.
The detail determined quickly that there gunslinger, specifically a woman “threatening to shoot her son” was the stuff of fiction.
The cops then moved to take the woman into custody for dialing 911 to report a false incident.
As they made their approach they asked if she was carrying any weapons.
She reportedly replied that she “did not have anything on her."
Further, when she was ordered to surrender, the woman resisted by flailing her arms, tensing her body, and trying to avoid getting cuffed.
She also spit in the arresting cop’s mug.
Charges were leveled on the woman for endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, falsely reporting an incident, and aggravated harassment.
▀ Union Square: Shell Game Master Took Marks For Thousands

HIS SHORT CON was up.
A trickster was outed after cops confronted him for duping unsuspecting participants out of cash wads.
The 41-year-old hustler was captured on surveillance rooking comers for their coin by using sleight of hand.
Authorities describe the suspect setting up shop along a sidewalk on 14th Street and Broadway dating back to April and well into June, according to the criminal complaint.
In each case the suspect barked for customers and they ponied up cash with promises they would get it back if they played the game involving a ball and bottle caps.
At least three gamers saw their cash go poof.
Detectives tracked down the money vanisher and after showing him working targets for their cash from April 13, June 3, and June 10 — he confirmed he was the one dealing.
The suspect was pinched on grand larceny and fraudulent accosting.
▀ Diabolical Son Cashed $128K Of Deceased Mom’s Pension Checks
A ROTTEN SON profited off his dead mom by pocketing her retirement — even impersonating her voice.
Yakik Rumley, 51, was nabbed on Sept. 23, and facing grand larceny, ID theft, criminal possession of a forged instrument, and falsifying business records.
The 51-year-old was caught milking his mom’s city retirement pension checks over a two-year period while masking the fact that his mother, a retired city employee had already passed away.
The sucker apparently was so greedy that he went to depositing 20 checks between 2023 and 2025 forging her signature and even impersonating the dead woman’s voice 15 (count them!) times to the retirement system call center.
His greed bender came undone last year when he requested a re-issue of a lost check.
That flagged check drew scrutiny from the Department of Investigations, who uncovered the fraud and referred the case for criminal prosecution to the Manhattan DA's Office.

▀ Soundview: Creep Posts Pics Of Gal Giving Him Fellatio, Warns ‘I Have 36 More Like That… I’ll Post Them!’
HE COULDN’T HELP himself.
A woman was disgusted to find out a former fling had been clandestinely chronicling their lovemaking.
And then was splashing it on Instagram.
The 21-year-old sicko beamed missives to the woman from his Fteley Avenue home back on the early morning of Feb. 25, the criminal complaint reads.
The perv sent the woman a text featuring the woman (her tattoos and breasts in wide view) with the goon’s member in her mouth.
He then followed up with another missive: “I have 36 more phones like that and I’ll post them.”
It wasn’t a bluff.
The unsavory already made good on the threats by posting several of the erotic moments they shared in what she thought was intimate — had already appeared on an Instagram account under a “vanity name”.
Cops closed in and on Aug. 24, the suspect was netted and he was brought up on public display of sexually explicit material.

⬛ HARD TIMES
▀ Shyster Caught Purloining Drivers In Parking Meter Scam (Brooklyn, NY)
A CRAFTY CROOK hooked New Yorkers for several songs.
Hihai Enescu, 39, of Brooklyn adulterated parking meters to snooker folks into obliviously forfeiting their monies.
Prosecutors argued Enescu affixed stickers on parking meters with phony QR codes, which directed sensitive credit card information to himself.
City parking is squared away by utilizing an on-site payment or a mobile phone app. Rlectronic QR codes are not used an option nor authorized by cuty, prosecutors said, alerting the public to the fraud.
The scheme came to light after an unsuspecting motorist tried to pay electronically by scanning the mobile QR code sticker on a parking meter on Manhattan's East 10 Street near Cooper Square last year. The code took him to a landing page with the "ParkNYC" logo but he grew suspicious when the system was slow to respond and requested unnecessary, sensitive personal financial information.
After a closer look — he found the QR code was a sticker placed on the meter and he immediately altered his bank to the potential fraud.
The Department of Transportation, which owns and operates public street parking meters, "ParkNYC", was notified. An investigation found a total of 64 other fraudulent QR code stickers on parking meters throughout Manhattan.
Prosecutors said the QR code would lead the user to a phony website, which required personal information that included the credit card user name, billing address, credit card number, expiration date and phone number, personal information.
None of these specifics are required under the legitimate "ParkNYC" app payment system but can be used to access personal credit card accounts and make unauthorized withdrawals.
The scheme not only put users in the cross hairs for identity theft but also the potential for a parking ticket for non-payment of parking they believed they had already paid for.
The Manhattan District Attorney's Cyber Crimes Investigation Unit was able to link Enescu to the phony "ParkNYC" website and learned he had purchased four-inch by six-inch shipping labels and printed his own phony QR code on them and pasted them on public parking meters.
The extent of the theft or momentary gain by Enescu was not disclosed by prosecutors. They are asking anyone who suspects they have been victimized to contact them.
